NWT isn't "shut down" - they are still the preferred coin supplier to NHQ.

The problem with NWT is that their setup coast is more than a whole coin run from other sources.

I ordered these beautiful merlin gold coins for our squadron award recipents last fall:

I've seen them for sale in the BX's.  Specifically Nellis AFB, Langley AFB and Hanscom AFB.  They were in with the other challenge coins.

Perhaps a useless bump, but I know the assertion was made by some that NWT produced these coins without authorization or support by NHQ.

One only needs to look at the last page of the Aug, 06 Volunteer to see that they had full support of NHQ, at least in as much as accepting them as an official sponsor.

Business relationships change, we all get that, but in situations like this, we shouldn't be killing anything that is single-source until there's a legitimate replacement.

That has been the contention all along. 

By the way, thanks for the earlier source recommendation.  I just received our first shipment of squadron coins yesterday as a matter of fact.  Very good experience and happy with the product.  I'd definitely recommend them.
