Luis R. Ramos

Hello All!

I am changing my signature to coincide with my designation as Squadron Commander, Brooklyn Tech Cadet Squadron in Brooklyn, NY. We are members of New York City Group, New York Wing. I hope I do not screw up... The change of command will take place on Friday, 3 May 2014.

To all of you that have answered my questions before, thank you very much for your support. And those of you with whom I sparred, I guess it is because in the end all of us do care about our organization but have a different point of view. And all, please keep me in mind and set me straight when you think I am screwing up.

Previously I signed as Flyer or Flyer333555.

I am not sure this is the correct way and thread to post this message...

Congratulations! There is nothing quite like the feeling of knowing that you're now the "old man", and your members look to you for guidance. Remember the lessons that you've learned on how to be a good leader, and you'll do just fine. Best of luck from the former commander of NER-NJ-086....

Thank you all.

I first suggested the Change of Command be done the week of 1 April but circumstances intervened...

Mike, someday you'll get your turn in that barrel. Then we'll see what you have to say.

Nice!

That can be fixed. Take to a program with transparent background, cut out, save as .PNG not .jpg.

Congratulations. Your first tour will be awesome and you'll be back for second and third tour too.

Capt. Ramos ...

From another person who has "been there and done that," congratulations!  You're about to embark on the busiest ... most frustrating ... and most exhilarating period of your CAP career.

Not everybody can be a Squadron CC.  They're lucky to have you.

All the best!

Ready on call .. with paper airplanes? ;-)

Luis R. Ramos

Actually, balsa and remote control airplanes! We applied for the airplane STEM grant and got it. So I am having the very exceptional Cadet AEO conduct training sessions with them.  ;D

Best of good fortune to you, Captain Ramos.  A good Squadron CC is not an easy commodity to come by.  I have been a Deputy CC, but I know I do not have what it takes to be a Squadron CC.

Congratulations to both of you.  My goal is to follow your lead and be a squadron CC someday.
