Thanks everybody!

Next month I get to participate as a staff member for SLS and then I will be done with Level IV.

Can I just say, that I am very glad that Chaplains now participate in the standard Professional Development requirements?  It's been worth it.  To any and all Chaplains that are moaning that they are "stuck" and can't promote because of PD requirements.  I humbly submit that you CAN do it!  AND, that you will be glad that you participated in the PD requirements.

I would like to extend two echoes:

First, I echo all the congratulations extended to Chaplain Boldin on his well-deserved promotion. Great job!

Second, I echo his sentiments that chaplain SHOULD and now DO participate in the PD program like other senior members. I believe this is long overdue. All senior members should be required to complete the same professional development curriculum for we are all CAP officers or NCOs.

In my case I completed all the way through Level-V some years before becoming a chaplain and believe that the SM PD program was an undeniable benefit later as a chaplain.

Hopefully more chaplains will follow Chaplain Boldin's lead and example.
