Can someone tell me what this is? I am not sure>>>   Equal Opportunity Completion Report

Dutchboy

I know what Equal Oportunity is, but I have been in for a long time and never heard much about the report itself. What does it mean if a member does not have this recorded in the member reports portion of E-services. How does it get fixed?

EMT-83

Equal Opportunity (EO) is now part of Level 1, and the training is completed on line:

The Equal Opportunity Completion Report is under Member Reports on eServices. It shows all members of your unit who have, and have not, completed this training.

Airrace

I think is required of all members in order to complete level one training.

The Equal Opportunity training is for every member.  See CAPR 36-1, dated 22 August 2008, paragraph 5e, which states "The EOO will cause an independent, on-line Equal Opportunity Training (EOT) program to be accessible through the NHQ CAP website. All active senior members (to include cadet sponsor, life and 50-year members) shall complete this on-line EOT program."  The url to the training is https://tests.cap.af.mil/EO_Training/Index.cfm

The above is correct. It is also a commanders responsibility to see that EO Training is conducted each year.  In the past this was done by forwarding a message from NHQ in many places... Now i believe the member has to reaccomplish the EO training yearly...

The report is a tool for commanders to track the completion for both new and old members... And will probably be used to ensure that the EO certification is reaffirmed each year as I believe is required...

When I asked NHQ for this report, I gave them more insight into what I would like to see and would make the report more useful or easier to manage. They ignore all suggestions, but at least they made a report that displays completion dates which was the minimal request...  They accomplished creation of the report in less then a week from the request.

What do you want to see?

Either they did it or they didn't?  Not much else in the equation...

I wanted them to sort it with those needing it at the top...   color code it... red equals expired or never done.... yellow x days, green y days to needing it re-certified....

If a commander accomplishes the training in a meeting night, all who are there will have the same date, but inevitably, there will be some who will not be there that night or will desire to do something else because they just did it, x months ago when they joined...

Dates will be different from person to person.... it would be great not to have to search the report to see who is coming due... since we have the technology... why not use it to save more time...

I should be able to glance at the report and within 15-30 seconds, know what I need to know.

I think of things in a big picture view... if you tell me it should only  take 5 min to look at this once every 3 months as is... I will ask you to calculate the annualized wasted time on a yearly basis for all of cap...  i forget, is there 1500 or 1700 squadrons... hmm...  the 5 min ads up... If we thought of this like a business ;) who was paying commanders $X amount on average... the annualized savings would be... idk... enough to make it worth saving the 5 min...  :)  (basic green level stuff here)

I made a big push for my members to complete this earlier in the year, many of them still have not. If I were to conduct this as a class at a meeting, where do I enter the completion in eServices? I've looked around and can't seem to find it.

Coming due?  EO doesn't expire.  Its a one-time online shot for current members and part of Level I for new members.

After that its an SUI item to insure you are doing refreashers as part of normal meeting curriculum and training, but that will not show up in eServices.

It posts automatically when they complete the online training.

So I'm guessing they didn't give commanders the option to enter it if we go through the slides at the meeting, I have a number of members with no internet access and we don't have internet at the squadron either.

Oh well, I'll just keep encouraging them to complete it somehow.

Fill out a CAPF 11 and in the "other" line put Equal Opportunity Training.  After your done, have them sign their names, etc and send it to NHQ.

In that case all participants should have signed in on a CAPF 11, and then you fax email it to NHQ at the forms address.

Your best / easiest bet is to have them do it online.

As to the ongoing information, anyone can do it with the Commander's approval.  Just make sure to keep a records as to participants, and notes on what was covered (for your SUI).
