As of today, I am retired from the Oklahoma Army National Guard.  It feels weird.

What's your military background?  Where did you start out?  MOS's?

Congrats.

I hold 11B ad 35F MOS's. Went straight Guard while in high school.  Knee surgery slowed down the Infantry stuff so I went MI.

When I received my "20" years letter, it was like having a weight lifted offmy shoulders. When I actually retired it was even better.
Congraulations.

Congrats on making it. Now, will you live long enough to collect a check?

(Guard and Reserve Retirees do not start getting their retirement checks until they turn 60.
You can "retire" earlier then that, but you don't get the money until you're 60.)

Congratulations!!!!  I retired from the Army Reserve in 1987, started drawing my checks in 1996 and have enjoyed it ever since.  You will miss your military service, trust me.

Thanks for your service.

I plan on mostly life at squadron for awhile.  Besides, I help run PT while our CO is at Wing meetings.
