Congrats to all that participated in the U.S. Air Force SAR Eval for New York Wing this week. It was a tough week with large amounts of effort put in. As a result New York received an Overall Outstanding and if I'm not mistaken, an Outstanding in every part of the Eval except for Counterdrug, which will likely change to Outstanding once some paperwork is done, and the ARCHER system, where we weren't able to get up, but received Excellent in both for now.

For both Comms and Ground teams at Long Island Group, we definitely had cadets participate (I was a GTL!) and Comms was 90% cadet-run.

Hooah!

Congrats to all who participated.

Really, all departments earned the outstanding rating.

Not everything went our way, as the GA-8 Archer mission had to be scrubbed due to a blown tire.

Base staff especially Air Ops maintained a smooth operations no matter what curve balls the evals threw.

I would like to thank all the seniors and cadets who worked on the flight line. You guys did an amazing job and the evaluators stated as such. (Even with the guy falling out of the plane during the emergency evac drill. But that was'nt us, that was gravity).

Nice work guys.

what was the evac a result of?

It was a drill - evacuating an aircraft.  Not as easy as getting in if you're in a hurry.  :D
