Thats pretty funny.  Im thinking the school had a traffic issue with parents dropping off their kids.

A "Kiss and Go" is an dedicated area where the school wants parents to drop off the kids. It's not a traffic issue but just a name for the spot.

Most suburban Washington DC metro stops have 'Kiss and Ride' areas. (The transit authority even registered the term as a trademark.)
