OK so I know that this kind of header always is a troll grabber, but couldnt resist.
I was asked to serve as an evaluator for next months NER SAR competition and am now unable to attend due to a change in my real job schedule.  So I was asked by the Project Officer if I could reccommend a replacement.  My brain said gee, I dont know anyone off the top of my head but I am sure there are a number of medically minded CAP Talkers that I have interacted with that might fit the bill.

Here is the details as I know them:
NER SAR Comp Westover AFB May 22, 23, 24
The specific area I was to evaluate was a wilderness/crash rescue station.  There are also some USAFR medical types evalauting, but they were looking for someone that can also keep things in the CAP perspective.

It is a travel re-imbursable mission (at least for the NER area, dont know if you were to travel from out of region) with highly reduced on base rates for food and lodging.

If you are interested send me a PM or email (sarmed1@gimail.af.mil) and I can forward a selection to the project officer.

Troll accepted - what's to evaluate beyond providing a basic first aid class?  Since nothing from a "CAP perspective" is allowed or required?

Ouch!
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Granted - I've been gone for a week and the first thing I do is drop something like the above, prob still tired from encampment.

Does anyone think the NER SARCOMP folks would have a problem with a cadet GTL as long as there is appropriate senior member supervision?  That may be the only way to get a team out there.

Anybody ever think of doing this during a drill weekend and the an MOU together and having the ARNG or Air Guard with their medics and flight nurses??

Good idea???

As long as the cadet is over 18...

Of course.  A cadet under 18 couldn't even qualify as a GTL.

Some cadets forget this though.

I think if I were an evaluator, I'd be very impressed with a cadet GTL (as long as they were competent and able, which most Cadet GTL's I've seen are)

Yes, except for the fact that billeting would be reduced or unavailable -- as it is, NER is running SARCOMP & annual cadet competition same place, same weekend (different event staffs!), lots of coordination & coperation on meals, billeting, comm, LG.
