You have a bad habit of coming here and asking for basic information that you should be getting from your unit. If you have asked them and they cannot help, please say so.

ok, when did you ask?  You seem to be a bit impatient, that's why we're asking.

I hate to say this, but if you unit doesn't know how to get you hooked up with these, it is extremely unlikely that you're ever going to be able to do them since it indicates that your unit has no involvement in ES activities.

ok, well one of the links I sent you earlier today was inside the Operations section of the CAP website.  If you spend a few minutes, you can usually find whatever you need on the main website, or inside eServices.   Here is a link to the GES test: https://tests.cap.af.mil/newtests/test.cfm?grp=dos   That page also has a link to ICS 100.  Or, you could do a simple google search and find this page with most of the ICS courses: http://training.fema.gov/IS/crslist.asp

the GES test (af.mil website) does work, but the FEMA training website is offline at the moment.  It'll come back up, you need to be patient!

The FEMA EMI site has been down since Monday morning.  It went down just as I was about to take the IS 700a. test.

There really is no GES test for GTM3.  To earn the GES Operational Qualification,  You need to have either the Curry Award or Level One and then take CAPT 116 Pt 1.  For a Ground Team member, once you are qualified GES, you need to have your Commander approve you have completed the prerequisites (GES).  You then have to have your Commander approve you for Familiarization and Preparatory Training.  You need to take IS 100, IS 700, and CAPT 117 Pt 1.  All the courses are online and you can take them without your Commander's approval.

EMI had a major hardware failure this week.  They expect to have the site up in the next few days.

After passing the FEMA tests, print out two copies of the certificate and make sure to give one to your unit's ES officer to enter into your training record.

Also, it's a really good idea to "print" a copy of the certificate as a pdf file. This way you have a copy available to print from if you ever need another. There are several free applications for creating pdf's. Most make your computer think they are physical printers, so you can use them from any application that has a print command.

There's no such thing as a 'GES' test for 'GT3.'

The General Emergency Service test, CAPT116, is to qualify you to train for the other qualifications. You don't just take a test for GTM3 and get your badge.
"Eagerness and thrill seeking in others' misery is psychologically corrosive, and is also rampant in EMS. It's a natural danger of the job. It will be something to keep under control, something to fight against."

It's not required but helpful for other ES quals.
