Especially for low-impact "lots of walking / standing" situations vs. outdoor or combat environments?

My physician recommends Superfeet Green

http://www.superfeet.com/products/Green.aspx

I find they work really well.

I noticed this statement:
QuoteIdeal for feet with medium to high arches.

They may be great for your feet, but they would be totally inadequate for mine.

YMMV.

Nobody has flatter feet than me. Regardless, the Superfeet Greens work great. If you have flat feet like mine and have ever had a custom insole made, you'll note that an arch is molded into the insole. Cushioning, like gel insoles provide, might be nice, but real foot comfort comes from arch support that fits.

Superfeet does have an insole designed for low to medium arches, Superfeet Blue. I haven't tried these.

All Superfeet products have a 60 day 100% refund policy.

As  I stated, my physician expressly recommended Superfeet Green. He knew how flat my feet were because I was being treated for Plantar Fasciitis.

I have planar faciatis in one heel. Tried custom orthotics but even they were uncomfortable. Try Profoot insoles. They are available at Wally World and are usually cheaper than the gel insoles. They mold to your feet and don't have the uncomfortable bulges the others have given me.

I like Dr. Scholl's Gel Inserts.  I'm gellin' like Magellan  :D

I use those for my regular shoes and they are pretty good, so I can't imagine how wonderful they are in Standard Issued Boots.  :)

It's not so much an "insole," but Bates has the new Individual Comfort System that most of their new boots have. (http://www.batesfootwear.com/US/Product/NP/Law-Enforcement/Delta-8-Side-Zip.aspx)
I switched to these at my last job when I was working Casino Security, and being on my feet all day never felt so good.

If you're in the market for new boots altogether, these are the best!

Awesome, I was looking into that last week.  Couldn't really find any reviews there's one for a start.

here is a cheap alternative.

Before you throw away your favorite pair of athletic shoes (sneakers. tennis shoes, trainers, or whatever else you call them) or make them the grass cutting shoes because of worn soles or rips and tears, pull out the insoles and put them in your boots.

They will be well broken in to your foot structure and are FREE

I have been doing this for years.

Just don't wait until you have holes in the BOTTOM of your shoes......

Yup, that's the ticket. I have them in all my utility footwear, and have zero problems. They also work well with the orthotics I have for my plantar fasciitis.

Probably comes from too many years of having your feet in the salty sea water.   ;D
