for the un-initiated, the Tri-Wing Encampment is comprised primarily of Delaware, Maryland and National Capitol wings.  It's got a pretty long history, and was used in 1998 as one of the two National Encampment locations.

staff application deadline is Feb 28th. if you want application info, send me an email or private message... I'll post the general application information when it's available.

my personal comment...  if it's not listed here, you probably shouldn't bring it, unless it serves a medical or religious purpose.  :)   Print out this list and use it as a checklist when you're packing, everybody forgets something, but it's harder when you're using a checklist.

Packing List

CADETS MUST BRING THEIR CURRENT MEMBERSHIP CARD

NOTE: Cadet's name must be marked indelibly on all clothing items since laundry is done in large batches.

One clean short-sleeve blue uniform shirt, with epaulets. Shirt must have wing patch (sewed) and blue nameplate. Ribbons should be brought, but not attached to shirt. No tie or tie tab is needed.

One pair blue uniform slacks or skirt (female), or trousers (male)

One blue web belt w/shiny buckle and tip for Blues

Two white tee-shirts, V-neck.

6 pair underwear (boxer or jockey for males; equivalent underwear and bras for females)

One blue flight cap w/CAP enlisted cadet insignia

One pair black low-quarter uniform shoes, LEATHER (not Corfam), polished, w/ 2 pair of black dress socks

Minimum TWO complete BDU uniforms, w/ wing patches, namestrip, and CAP strip sewn on. Rank and CAP cutouts must be pinned on BDUs.

Six brown tee-shirts (crew-neck) for BDUs

One BDU belt

One BDU cap

Pair well-fitted combat boots (not hiking boots). May be plain toe or paratrooper style, and may be all leather, or leather with black or olive green (OG) mesh NOTE: Break in new boots before encampment. Wearing brand new boots to encampment will guarantee blisters!

Minimum six pair of boot socks (may be black, OG, or white) (wool preferred for better moisture absorption)

Moleskin (1 pad)

Poncho, either military-type (OG or BDU pattern), orange or see-thru. Need not be expensive. The $3 kind is OK

One pair shower clogs or cheap sandals

Two pair gym shorts, dark blue or black

Three pair athletic socks

One pair gym shoes

One civilian tee-shirt and jeans/shorts, IN GOOD TASTE AND GOOD REPAIR

Two bath towels and two face cloths.

Appropriate toiletries - tooth paste & brush; deodorant; soap (liquid or in soap dish); shampoo; shaving materials (if needed)

Shoe shine kit

Notepad, 1 pen, 1 pencil

Ruler (preferably 18") or tape measure

Flashlight w/ 2 sets batteries

Money, not to exceed $25, but at least $10

Sun block (at least SPF 15)

Insect Repellent (preferably w/DEET)

Sewing kit (recommended)

Disposable camera (optional)

Laundry detergent (small amount, recommended)

Iron and spray starch (optional)

ADEQUATE SUPPLY OF ANY PRESCRIBED MEDICATION, APPROPRIATELY LABELED, IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER
