Personally, I'd like to have a three hour meeting...but that's just me.  8)

Correction folks!!!!    Cadets:  1800 to 2100 hrs local.    Seniors 1900 to 2100 hrs local.   Typically some senior members are at the facility at times before 1600 hrs and don't leave until well 2200 hrs local

We ("we" being seniors; our cadet program is currently nonexistent) meet from 1830 to 2100 on Thursdays.

I grew up as a cadet meeting Thursday nights.

Moved to DCWG and met on Thursday nights.

Moved to another squadron in DCWG and met on Thursday nights.

Then, once, my squadron got booted by a group that was paying money to use a VFW so we went to Monday nights.

Now I'm where I started and we meet on Thursday nights.

We used to meet on Tuesday night. Testing weekly from 630pm to 655pm. Meeting 7 pm to 9pm. We had a 10 min break around 755 to 805. Commanders call weekly at 845pm.

Everyone helped clean up and put away chairs before they departed. Last person out the door between 915 and 930pm.

Meeting times:

I am very surprised to see that meeting start ad 18:15 and 18:30.  I know I couldn't make it to meetings that early.  Well, I could, but it would cause a little stress and maybe a little drama.

Every squadron I've been in has started meetings at 19:00 and ended between 21:00 and 21:30.  The best meeting times we ever had looked like this:

Show up  -  19:00
Opening formation  -  19:15
Closing formation  -  21:00
Clean up  -  21:15
Lock up  -  21:30

We are one of the 18:15 starts.  This was discussed when we first started the squadron 5 months ago. Parents and cadets were brought in on this discussion... BTW we now have 25 members, PLUS 2 more seniors applications are now in, and 3 interested cadets. Not bad for being in the boonies.

We have a number of cadets that travel 45 minutes + to get to squadron.  Even after ending at 20:45 and they get out on time they are still arriving home fairly late for a school night.  We also felt we needed the 2.5 hours to really conduct an effective program.

Our seniors currently meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 1930 until, with myself and Deputies normally there until about 2200.  Makes for a long day when I have an hour & 15 minute drive home.

Our cadets meet every Thursday from 1900 until 2100, again with myself and Deputy normall there until about 2200, sometimes later.

But really looking hard at changing to a consolidated meeting on Thursdays with seniors being 2nd & 4th Thursday. Also thinking about a unit-wide formation at 1900 the first meeting of each qtr.  Gotta teach the seniors about proper uniform wear and customs & courtesies first.  That's gonna be fun  :-\

During the school year, we meet from 1830 to 2030. In the summer we meet from 1830 to 2100.
