Recently, my city/county government required all of the previous IS-800 takers to re-taking the IS-800 test with revision "a".   So, while take IS-800a I saw that FEMA had posted additional course materals that I hadn't noticed.   These new ones are related to the Emergency Support Functions (ESF).   So, I took the course for ESF #9 SAR.

That's an EXCELLENT PR plug for Civil Air Patrol to bring realization to Emergency Managers to what CAP is about.    CAP is mentioned by name and with pictures of members and aircraft.

I would suggest all CAP members take it to be familiar with it and the ESF 9 functions and think of ways YOU can get your local/state EM coordinators to "review" ESF 9 via this material and get a reinforcement of CAP exposure.

In the ever increasing inter-agency environment, it is essential to be familiar with the ESF areas so that you can properly use them during a function.  Knowing your own territory is a great place to start!

The smaller ESF FEMA EMI courses only take a few minutes to complete, but can really help in larger mission environments.

Yep, read through all of those, but NONE of them mentioned how heavily CAP was mentioned in the EMI training.
