Survivorman gets lost - tonight

The season premier of Survivorman on Discovery channel is this evening.  The notes on the show say a SAR team has to come looking for him when he gets lost in the Sierra Nevada mountains.  Might have a few SAR lessons for us.

I like him a lot more than the idiot on Man vs Wild who never misses an opportunity to do the stupidist, most risky course of action possible.

Darn it... I was hoping that he didn't make it back to civilization in 7 days and that they had to send SAR out to find him.  But, they just scheduled his last day in the woods as a planned exercise for the locals.  He used a signal mirror to signal a chopper overhead.  Good video of what the signal mirror looks like from above, but other than that not much useful from a SAR point of view.
