Where do you find the "official" answers for the CAP Foundation Course?

Phil Hirons, Jr.

In the Summary Conversation Sheet.

Now the interesting part. Only a commander can get to the file as it is in the Commander's Corner part of e-services.??? You will need to have a commander download a copy for you. It is considered as testing material so keep it secure. I keep my copy on an secured flash drive.

That should be a clue that one doesn't have a need to know.

You could always read the material. The questions and answers are pretty much word-for-word from the text.

thanks, I just wanted to make sure.

Doesn't that seem like something that should be auto assigned to the Test Control Officer or the Professional Development Officer.

TCO- puts it with the other controled materials
PDO - Normally the person conducting Lvl 1 training

I brought that point up to some people at National some time ago and their response was that there aren't that many units with PDO's. It's interesting to note that a wing-level PDO has no access to the material either - you gotta be a commander!
???

It gets sillier. I'm the Wing PDO and TCO

The materials can be given to the Commander's designated representative, ie DCS, PDO, etc.

the point is that the way its setup gives another useless and time wasting barrier if the PDO or TCO has to ask for the tools needed to do the most basic part of the job. In most cases its probably a ask, ask again... remind and well... you get the point.

I asked my commander to d/l and email the stuff to me. Fifteen minutes later, it was done. I printed it off and put it into a distinctive binder, and locked it up. I also dumped the files off my computer after backing up onto a CD that also resides in the binder. Piece of pie.

Since the commander is primarily tasked with the final sign off of Level I completion, placing that resource in the commander's corner makes sense to me.

YMMV.
