Litter carries are addressed in other parts of the GTM curriculum, and would be inappropriate for UDF, since the "U" implies EMS is available.

I have been flabbergasted repeatedly that CPR is not required for our first aid at any level.

Not always...."U" really means "not-wilderness" you can still be a UDF team...and be a long ways from EMS support....either way I see your point.  The other advantage of SABC vice ARC is that SABC is free where ARC will want some sort of cost recovery even if the CAP unit owns the books and does the training.

So since we're off a little bit anyway, how about this:

"UDF and GT3 should NOT need any kind of 'first aid' certification to be a guided trainee, but it should be required for both to get the full rating."

Thoughts?  (or Flames?   >:D )

Nope.....I would want you to be able to take care of me and yourself before you go out on a mission....even an exercise.  As it is...first aid should be part of the familiarisation training.

As I said...first aid and CPR should be part of GES....
