Well, after 22 years Active Duty I finally had enough and put my paperwork in for retirement.

Congratulations, and thank you for serving our country.

I assume you'll be staying in CAP, but do you know where you'll be living yet?  Staying in Vegas?

Best Wishes,

Yes I am staying in CAP....I may have to step down from command depending on the demands of the new job......but I will still be working my GTL butt off.

It looks really good for that contractor job too!   One of those leave work one daying wearing BDUs and comming back the next day wear jeans and a polo shirt deals!  >:D

Congratulations, sir, and thank you for your years of service.

Funny how the contractor jobs work out.  My father retired from the AF (E-7) and ended up with a contractor job...doing the same thing he did when he was active duty.  He says the pay is better and he can wear shorts in the summer.

Best of luck to you!

Congratulations and my deepest respect.

I have the greatest respect for anyone who retires from government service, military or otherwise, just for having put up with all the nonsense that the government throws at you.

I've got 22 years of combined military/civilian service with the Army so far, so I know of what I speak. ::)

Congrats, Patrick.  22 years of service ain't easy - but it's sure worthwhile, to you AND to us.

Now you just have to learn how to choose what to wear every morning!   :)

Congratulations Patrick!  Kick back and enjoy.  For 48 hours.

Then you report for "Active duty in the CAP."

Trust me... I'm there!

"Since you are retired, could you take care of ____ during the week?"  (Fill in blank with whatever distasteful task is being discussed.)

Congrats on the retirement. Try and get some goof off time before you have to enter the grind.
