Just saw where the CAPF 101 on eServices is updated to reflect ICS courses 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800.  They get entered as separate acheivements.

Have entered dates for completion of  IS-100, 200, 700 & 800.  Now eServices indicates "PENDING VALIDATION".  Wonder how validation is going to be accomplished?

Same way we've been doing it for years for other ES tasks.  Commander looks them over and if the paperwork is in hand, he approves it.

Guess eServices is slow then as I am the commander and my 5 members haven't shown up in approvals yet.  Good to know it's been kept simple.

Having pretty good success getting members of the squadron to do this.  It's been made a squadron requirement for new members as they join.  My Recruiting Officer and I lay out the expectations and have had no complaints.

Just a thought.  It's possible that those tasks need to be validated.  The validations are found in the restricted application marked "Operations Qualifications". You and your ES officer should both have this permission automatically assigned to you due to duty assignment

Just did it last night. They need to be validated, not approved.

Why did they make the ICS courses actual SQTR qualifications?  Wouldn't it have made more sense to have them just be individual tasks?  There isn't any reason we need to have ICS courses listed on our 101 cards.

I believe that this has to do with the NIMS compliance stuff.  Maybe it is so we can show FEMA and HS the actual number of members in compliance.  Might be easier to generate the report that way or something.  Just a thought.

Well, using the Tasks table in capwatch you can tell how many people have done a particular task, so I don't think that is it (unless NHQ didn't realize they could do it that way).

Reports in Ops Quals will now print out a roster of everyone who has completed a ICS course - by course.  I use CAPWATCH data for a few things, but you need to really understand how to access the data unless you use SIMS, which doesn't support the senior side that well.
