So I was going through some old boxes at the Group HQ that I don't think have been touched in ages. I found 8 .... believe it or not old 45 records. They say CIVIL AIR PATROL MUSICAL CAPsule on them, and two of them are the "Official Song" of CAP, "CAP is on the go."

Anyone ever heard of these before (not the CAP Song, I know about it) or have any idea what I should do about them, other than e-mailing the National Historian. I am sure they have copies.

I've heard an old record recording of the "CAP is on the go" which I think it a real amusing song.

I love the line that ends with something like "to find the likes of you! The CAP is on the go!"  :)

Ya I have heard that before, not too impressed though. I have never heard of the other ones though, and unless I can get it to fit in a CD or DVD player, I don't have any way to listen to it and see what it is.

I have a record player and if you want to ship them up here and I can convert them to digital audio.  As a vinyl collector/ex-music major I'm really interested.

I have a copy as an mpeg, but I can't attach it here as it is 1.82 MB, pm me with your email if you want a copy.

I've heard it.  It's a very 1940s/1950s march.  "CAP on the Go":  they must have eaten a lot more fiber back in those days.  :D

I have 6 of the 8 music CAPsule that I have converted to digital and put them on a cd. I have the home equipment to convert them in a manner of minutes. Could you send me a list fo the 8 titles you have both A & B sides. I would like to know the ones I am missing. The CD that I have put together has 49 individual tracks of radio broadcasts from those eight and many more I have purchased and converted.

I will list them when I get home tomorrow (at work right now) and let you know.

I have heard the CAP Is on the Go.... would rather not hear it again thanks for offering though  ;D

I have never heard of the others though.... if I remember right, I think at least two of the others are the same title.... I will let you know though.
