Capt. Rick Finkelstein is a long time member of CAP in CAWG, and also my Deputy Commander, right hand man  and personal friend.  Thursday night, Rick left the meeting and went home and experienced what he described as "severe" heart burn. He decided to drive himself to the hospital.  Once at the hospital, and after several tests, he learned he had a heart attack and that his heart is only operating at 15% capacity.  He is now been placed on the heart transplant list.

I talk to him regularly.  He is in good spirits despite what has occurred.  And not to mention he cannot wait to get back to CAP.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Ditto...

This is the kind of thing that scares the crap out of me anytime I'm out of breath or have a little twinge.

Hope all goes well.

Reminds me of a previous Commander of Abilene Composite Squadron. A year ago it was discovered that he had a heart attack and had to get either triple or quadruple bypass surgery. He actually had the heart attack some 20 or 30 years ago.

Should we really be posting medical histories about members in a public forum?

What happened to privacy?

Is there an email address that he checks regularily and is comfortable with our using?

We could send him 'well-wishes'.

I don't think Hippa applies here.

He is in my prayers. I know how hard it is when a friend or family member has a heart attack.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about this.

I went from being a traffic cop to being an Inspector General.

Many people have told me I don't have a heart.

Rick doesn't mind.  But your right.  Initially I almost went back and put a disclaimer that Rick was good with it.  We sent out a Group wide email initially.  Rick has a lot of friends throughout CAP.
