Yup, we're doing it again... On January 26, 2008, I have committed to grin and "bear" it for the athletes of Special Olympics Maryland by taking a chilly dip into the Chesapeake Bay alongside about 7,500 other warm-hearted people. It's cold as the ninth plane of Hell but it's a good time for a good cause.

If you want to learn more about this wacky winter event, visit http://www.plungemd.com to find out all the chilly details. Think warm thoughts for me at January 26 approaches. I will do my best to "Be the Bear" and make my supporters proud!

This just might be the year that I learn what Lake Michigan feels like in winter.  Even with leukemia, my step-uncle still dived last year!

I used to do this every year I lived in Minneapolis.  We went out and jumped in Lake Minnetonka on 1 Jan.  It was ohhh so, much fun.  Too bad I live in a warm state now    ;D
