Original press release at http://www.tallahasseecap.org/pdfs/CubScoutannouncementpressrelease.pdf ...pics available at http://www.photos.tallahasseecap.org/cubscouts ...it's a little different than what NHQ decided to post, which I found rather interesting.

Gene, they do A LOT of editing to the articles that get submitted.  I submitted one and could hardly recognize it...

Great job on keeping your squadron active - that's what keeps the cadets around. :)

I've seen some major changes in what I've sent in at times...to the point where sometimes I wish they'd take my name off of it before someone thinks that's me writing. National's not alone...one story I submitted to FL WG was as you said unrecognizable and didn't even include my picture....where I had sent pictures of 2 senior members, a cadet and a firefighter working together on an exercise to illustrate our ICS300 class, there was instead a picture of one of the wing PAOs laughing with some of her friends, all at seperate tables.

I'm still trying to figure out what htey did to my poics..they look all technicolorish or something. Reckon that's the same person who did the ID cards at first? LOL

I guess I shouldn't complain too much..they're volunteers just like the rest of us.

I've often merely sent in corrections and comments and had good results.  Just send the the link to the story and how you want it edited/corrected and they are pretty good at making it right.

From the other side of the coin I've had stuff sent to me that is basically unusable without major surgery, sometimes so much so that the original author probably shouldn't have their name on it....

Maj C is right in that they are pretty good at fixing errors that are pointed out to them.

I don't think that was the case here, which was why I attached the original release. Either way, that is an issue for another day as I need to finish setting this laptop up so I can get on the road to Tyndall for a week of fun and games. Hoping to get the press release out about the fair once I get settled into the VOQ
