EFJ 5317 Portable Base

Here is one of my personally owned EFJ 5317 radios configured as a table top base station.  I used a 30A switching power supply bought for $23 on Amazon.  Cut off the Weatherpac DC connector and replaced it with Power Poles.  Cut off the accessory connector, identified the wires by color and made the connections for ignition sense and internal speaker.  Added a line cord with in-line switch.
