Capt. John A. Robertson
Rio del Fierro Composite Squadron
Texas Wing

No obituary

From Rio del Fierro Composite Squadron:

We at Rio del Fierro Composite Squadron are deeply saddened from the loss of one of our members. Captain John Robertson lost his life from injuries sustained when the ejection seat of his T-6A Texan II activated during ground operations.

Captain Robertson exemplified the core values of Civil Air Patrol: Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect. As a cadet, he earned the highest cadet honor, the General Carl A. Spaatz Award. As a Senior Member at Rio del Fierro Composite Squadron, he volunteered as a Deputy Commander for Cadets, Instructor Pilot, Mission Pilot, and Orientation Pilot.

Though his life was short lived, it was well lived. It is an honor to have called Captain Robertson a member and a friend. Our condolences go out to his family, the 80th Flying Training Wing, and all who knew him.
