Not a CAP airplane here, but this is a lesson to be learned, if anyone has forgotten it. TALK in the pattern. Its very important!

Cessna 150 with student and CFI landing ... then comes the T-28 ....

Yeah, that happened about 60 miles from where I sit. Uncontrolled airport and they were taking off and landing to the west. Right into the setting sun...
I seriously doubt the T28 pilot ever saw the Cessna as they were looking directly into the sun. And it's not like that big orange and white T28 is hard to see in the pattern.

Like how your "Facebook Experts" have already solved this one, because the FAA and the NTSB sure haven't. >:(

How about NOT posting rumors. Let the professionals do their job please.

Sure. I get it.  But watching that video makes it clear that the T-28 didn't know he was on the tail of the Cessna.  No mechanical issues here. Both planes making a nice landing, except one ran into the other.

Student in the Cessna died. His CFI is in critical condition. T-28 pilot might be able to give "the professionals" some insight not obvious in the video. We'll see when the report comes out. Always things to be learned form these accidents.

We don't know that.

Maybe he thought he could fit it in behind him.

It doesn't appear likely it was mechanical. That involves an aircraft history check and witness statements.

Might, yes. Likely not, at the moment. My understanding is that he's been on life support at the hospital as of this morning. That's unverified.

Let's do that.

We can assume all we want about what happened. We'll probably be correct. But you never what's out there until it all comes to light.
