First:  On behalf of Tennessee Wing, I want to invite everyone to attend the 2016 National Conference in Nashville.  Tennessee looks forward to welcoming all of you to our fine state!

There's now less than a month left for early bird registration, the price jumps on June 6.

They've also released a list of Learning Labs for the conference:  http://www.capmembers.com/media/cms/2016_Draft_Learning_Lab_Description_368B3D86708AB.pdf

Looks like some interesting topics to be covered (and not just because some CAPTalk members are presenting them!)

That said, those presenting, here's a good chance to plug your programs!

C'mon, anywhere in IL is less than a day's drive!

I know this because when I drive home to visit family, day 1 takes me through all of IL and into WI.  And I'm on the east end of TN, not the middle like Nashville.

7 hours and 45 minutes currently with a trip of 507 miles.

2 hours for me but I have a lot going on at the beginning of August. I wouldn't know for sure til July to know if I could make it and at that point the cost isn't worth it at this time.

Arriving on Tuesday morning (red-eye flight out of LAX).   Looking forward to seeing CAP friends and participating in the various events.  National Conference is always a great time.

I plan on driving from Maryland. 10 hours 600 miles. To save on the $25 parking fee I will leave the car at the airport and take the CAP shuttle to the hotel.

Recruiting Boot Camp on Thursday, 11 August. Just $20 on top of your registration gets you a whole day of me (and others).  Thats a bargain in anybody's book.

Three Recruiting Learning Labs during the conference:

RO01 - Retention Through Leadership & Program Management
RO02 - Social Media & Recruiting with both me & Colonel Stan Skrabut, NER Recruiting Director
RO03 - Implementing Cohort Recruiting (if you attended this last year, chances are you've seen > 50% of it) :)

Trying to arrange some "Office Hours" during the conference as well.

I'm doing an IT session on implementing stuff like Google Apps and making "information" a focus, rather than technology.

Is there a way to do one of the pre conference courses without going to the conference?
