Ok so question...

For a brand new member...

Level 1...
Does it include the new CPPT Basic for Seniors?

Or is it the case that you do Level 1,
and then you go do CPPT Basic for Seniors?
(this is what i thought was the case)

Does Level 1 include any CPPT content at all?

Can you even start CPPT Basic for Seniors until after you finish Level 1 (including the level 1 summary conversation)?

It seems like it must... because on Tuesday, I completed a CPPT Basic Senior summary conversation with a new member. He seemed conversant in the major high points of CPPT (enough that I just hit a few blanks and felt good about crediting him). However, when I went to credit him in e-services, it complained that he hadn't even started the CPPT Basic Senior course yet. Indeed, it turns out he had completed everything from Level 1 except for the summary conversation (which the commander here likes to do personally), but apparently not yet started cppt...

The current level 1 includes everything. They do the online modules and have a single summary conversation.

Copy, and that makes sense...

so therefore, the cppt basic for seniors is there for
1.  those of us who were here before the current level 1 release, and before the latest cppt release
2.  those who will re-take cppt basic in the future for recurrency

that sounds legit?

Yes, that sounds right to me. And the advanced course is basically for commanders and CP officers/NCOs, if I'm not mistaken. Don't have the regs in front of me.

You are correct. The unit commander or higher up has to approve the Advanced course entry into eservices as well.

Yes, and the Advanced Course can also be taken by *any* Senior Member whose duties have them involved heavily with cadet work.
