Well.........  Guess what?

My 14yr old daughter has a few friends from school who are in CAP and she thinks it would be really really really fun....  And dad, how cool would that be if you joined and helped too!

winterg

Did you tell her, "CAP? Never heard of her." LoL

PHall

Rob, you can be the CAWG "mole" in FLWG! >:D

CAP was obviously taking a tremendous amount of time.  I was a SqCC, was flying CD pretty regular, plus my day job.  When my son joined I was going to concentrate on Cadet Programs.  After about a year he decided it wasn't his thing.  Swimming and Water Polo were his passions, along with NJROTC, so CAP really just faded out pretty fast.  My daughter is now interested in it.  So I could see myself getting back in as long as I had a family connection.  The issue of spending a considerable time working with other peoples kids, while mine spent their weekends without dad seemed to be out of whack as far as priorities.  So this could be great.  So my wife asks  "Soooooo, are you going to go work with the kids.... or are you going to end up flying all the time again?"   OUCH! :o

Well... now I guess its time for a uniform thread ! >:D

Luis R. Ramos

Tell her "Hey, they ARE here to get O-flights, and I am the BEST at it!"

And for the uniform twist in this thread, do you STILL have your old uniforms, and do THEY fit like they did before?

Seems to me his daughter should getting credit for the recruiting ribbon. Flying Pig just needs to make sure her membership is processed before his.

I don't have my old uniforms.  But I still have all the bling.  Id have to say, the kid would have to get the credit.   The only way I could swing re-joining with the wife is if one of the kids joined.

Flying Pig

Well now the question......

Officer or NCO?   >:D

What's the rule on recruiting a former member? Don't think I've had a situation like that.

Storm Chaser

Recruiting credit can be given for a returning member as long as the member is rejoining and not just renewing late.

You'd let your child join such a group?   >:D

Ive been out 5 years.  Would have no real intention of rejoining unless she did.  Would be interesting to see if that is addressed anywhere.

Got a cite for that (Not saying you're wrong,  just that I'd like to know the cite)

The question was if my daughter (cadet) would get credit for recruiting me (former senior member) after a 5 year break in membership.

Ah my mistake. It only specifies "new" members from what I see in the reg.

Well, who is the final approving authority? If NHQ, send it up and see what they say.
