Executive Officer in Opening and Closing Formation

Hi, I recently became my squadron's Executive Officer, and this is the first time the squadron has had a Deputy Cadet Commander and Cadet Executive Officer. Where does the Cadet Executive Officer go during opening and closing formation? I've searched through the drill manual and internet with no luck so far. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's no specific position for the Executive Officer in a formation, but he or she forms as part of the staff. AFI 36-2203, Para. 6-2 describe where the staff forms in a formation.

The "head quarters" staff would be their own flight.

Staff does not get a place at the formation table until you start doing group or wing level formations.
