I'm tired, so perhaps I'm missing it, but I was trying to find a way to view mission numbers for individuals in eServices.

One would think there would be such a report, since WMIRS tracks people.  I just don't see anything.

I'd like to be able to create a record of each person's missions, for their personnel record, plus have the ability to use/confirm this information for ES qualifications if necessary.

Am I missing something?

There used to be a utility for that in WMU, but I haven't found a similar capability in WMIRS. I may not have enough access to see it, though.

For 2011 to Sep 2014 missions go to WMIRS 1.x, click advanced search, enter member CAPID and any other search parameters.

This is only for missions of which you flew as pilot.

Storm Chaser

In WMIRS 1.0 you can search for pilots, observers, drivers or other members whose CAPIDs were entered in the system. Scanned ICS 211 forms or other scanned documents will not show those members for obvious reasons. In WMIRS 2.0 you can search for any member who signed in to a mission. You can search for members in both 1.0 and 2.0 using the Advanced Search function in each site.

Eclipse

^ and that's the unfortunate problem - only those members specifically entered into WMIRS are tracked,
which leaves the majority of Ground and base personnel with no record of their involvement beyond
physically reading the scanned documents.

I tried the same exercise last year, hoping to create a database of member participation for things like
decs, etc., with the goal of generating PAs for every mission we had record of to be used for member
request substantiation.

There's simply no place the records exist in a way that they can be used automatically, and while the WMU
did have that function, its use was also not consistent enough to be reliable.

Another place that needs attention - just as there should be attendance records online for meetings and
activities, there should be a global tracking system of SAR participation.

Considering this could be a legit financial liability issue for the organization, it's surprising the Legal people
haven't pushed for this harder.

It should be available from WMIRS "Number 2", but I would guess they have a crap-ton of functionality to fix before they add that.

Now...if they published an API, I could write something to pull the data in about 10 minutes.

Imagine an app that could pull a list of all of your missions with duty position and sorties...

With the Signin in WMIRS 2, it would be childs-play.

But, NHQ didn't invent it, and they won't let anyone else access the system, so it won't ever happen.

Check Pilot/Tow Pilot

In WMIRS  2.0 to the right of the Mission Search box is a link called Advanced Mission Search.

Put in your CAPID, press Enter, and Bob's yer Uncle!

Entering only a CAPID in WMIRS 2 advanced search just tells you who that CAPID belongs to. Another parameter must be added to get any other info. The result, as mentioned 5 or 6 posts earlier, is simply a list of the missions on which the member signed in, just as it did in WMIRS 1. There has been no added functionality over WMIRS 1.

Incorrect Mike.

In WMIRS 2.0, when you only put in just the CAPID, without anything else you get a list of missions in which the member has Signed In.  In WMIRS 1.0 it was only missions that you were part of a sortie that were listed.  There was no sign-in capability with WMIRS 1.0.

I just did a search using only my CAPID and I am listed in a mission being run today that I am the IC for.

I don't think so. I'm an IC, have signed in and run missions under WMIRS 2.  None of those missions show up when I enter my ID unless I enter some other parameter. It may be that since your mission is open, you're seeing it by just entering your ID.

I just tested it on WMIRS 2.0 and it works fine, but I may have different permissions as an IC or my Wing duties.

Go to advance mission search. Enter the Wing and your CAPID. Hit search and your results should be there. Keep in mind that I have been careful to use the sign in/sign out module in the planning section.

I just re-tested it and it only seems to work if you enter the Wing at the top of the search  screen.

That's exactly what I want.

I wish to have it in everyone's personnel records.

I'm trying to do my own mission number list right now.  I just merged in 2005 alone, and had like 10 missions for just that year (I'm adding from my first year through to now).

I'm getting blank pages, trying to search by CAPID in WMIRS (perhaps it's permissions).  For example, I put in myself - and there's nothing.  There should be at least a couple recent because I personally saw them being entered.

I'd think a Personnel Officer and an ES Officer should be able to get the records for their personnel's missions - including sorties, find credits, etc., for their personnel record.
