My squadron have this stupid rule of NCO have to wear a tie despite if its short sleeve at all times and Airmens cant wear a tie or a long sleeve shirt......

The blue part is permissible, but not usual.

The red part is a no-no.

A former colleague in the CGAUX who was also a LEO told me about traditional ties vs. clip-ons potentially being hazardous to your health.

As for a Windsor knot...since none of the Royal Family are available to help, I suppose I shall have to go to a clothier in Windsor, Ontario to help.
