The BoG has unanimously selected our next National Commander.

The change of command will occur at the Command Council meeting in August.

A press release will issue shortly.

Well there is a teaser:

We selected one, but we are not going to tell you who it was.   :D

Didn't even realize they were doing that at this time.. hadn't been anything in eServices about updated agendas..

Brad

Change of command implies it's not General Carr. Although with the change in process I see that the National Commander reg has been removed, so what's the term limit now on CAP/CC?

Edit: checked the C&B, don't see anything about it, just that the BoG shall select, retain, and dismiss the National Commander.

A2-

You must have missed it then. in eServices it was posted a few weeks ago they were asking for resumes. Clearly, as soon as you logged in, it was the first item in the list of things.

It's Brig Gen Joseph Vazquez; now Maj Gen Select Joseph Vazquez.  CAP is in very good hands!  Congratulations Joe!

Congrats goes out to Gen Vazquez formerly of GAWG. I believe he is scheduled to be at the GAWG conference next week.

Oddly enough I got the RSS feed in my reader and the link was not active. It went live a few minutes later. I thought creating content triggered the RSS not the other way around.  :o

This means they'll need a new National CV.  Who's that going to be?

He gets to pick and then they have to be approved I believe.

I saw the resume request, I just didn't realize they were going to be selecting now. Then again.. it is April. But I couldn't find anything about a board meeting, agenda, etc.

Anybody know this guy? Or, more to the point, any expecatation of changes that matter? What's his focus, what he's done?

He's served as CV since 2011.   I personally don't expect any significant changes to the current course.

Why, do they have to clear it through you?
