Noticed this intriguing placeholder on the NESA site:

http://www.nesa.cap.gov/mas_survival.htm

Can any of the NESA types on here share a little advance info?

I don't know anything about this course, but I can try to connect you with the MAS Commandant if you like.

Hah, I certainly hope nobody is marketing it that way... More of a "S" school unless we can do all the "ERE" fun stuff.

Ed - did I not use enough winky smilies? I'll fix it.

Winky smilies make all the difference.

Besides, if we were offering a CAP SERE School, wouldn't we have to create a uniform item to indicate how TactiCool the graduate was? Blaze orange ascots? Yellow berets?

That just seems like a lot of extra work on the schoolhouse folks to start stocking up on that stuff, so it'll clearly have to be less awesome.

;D

That would be great, thanks.

There's been some discussion here in VA about Water Survival, with a ground-school portion and a swim test. Evidently something's being developed at a national level, but wings are being instructed to cover certain items in the interim.

I'd love to know whether this NESA class might cover that?
