Female cadet officer hat

Hello Everyone,

   I recently got my Mitchell award, and I have seen male cadet officer hats and I was curious if there was a female one, and where I could buy one. I went on vanguard and I only found the male ones.

Note that to wear a service cap, you must get approval from your Wing Commander first.  Follow the proper chain of command to obtain it.

AFI 36-2903 allows wear of the male flight cap and service cap by females. However, it is NOT allowed (currently) by CAPM 39-1.

I would first check the wing website for a CAPM 39-1 supplement that may or may not already authorize it.

Blanket statements like that are not always a good way to go. There are exceptions, and that CAPM 39-1 does mention male service caps with regards to the honor guard uniform .. I wouldn't say it's "not allowed".

OTOH, if your not on an honor guard, performing specific honor guard duties, this is not the uniform you are looking for.
