Does anyone have squadron rules regarding mandatory attendance for seniors or reporting requirements if a senior can't attend? I imagine similar to the cadet side but I've never seen a reg that allows a commander to reprimand for missing a meeting or not calling ahead in the event of unplanned absence. Just curious what other commanders or squadrons do regarding this topic. Thank you.

I have never seen a regulation for that on the cadet side.

If you want your members to be at the meeting or call (in advance) of why they are not going to make it....the commander simply needs to write a policy letter.

Question........what are you trying to solve by implementing such a policy?

On the cadet side there are several references to cadet attendance and termination of membership for three meetings in a row as well. On the senior side nothing. Not trying to solve any problem. Just looking for other people opinions and policies implemented.

Just informally, we want SM's to make one a month, to get the safety square fille. No hard and fast rule. Those of us not involved in CP feel like slackers if we miss too many, since those SM's are there every week, and the rest of us only meet twice a month.

If we've been flying a lot, we get a "pass", based on enough is enough in one month. It is cyclical, and in the DC area a lot of members travel a lot for work, TDY, deployments, et. Tough to be real rigid about attendance.

Agreed. Once a month unless your job duties require you more often is my personal feeling.

We have no set requirement, but we will reach out if a SM does not attend a couple of meetings in a row.  If an SM is going to be gone for an extended period, they usually let us know, and we have a few snowbirds that are gone for 5 or 6 months at a time
