The fact that astronauts have free time, says something, in and of itself, about how far we've come, but we have so much farther to go!

First, free time:  He's just finishing a 6 month hitch on-orbit...if you have no free-time over half a year, then they'll bring you down in a straight-jacket.  He actually thought through the issue before launch:

Agreed that this is inspiring. The guy is a rock star as far as astronauts these days go.

Walkman

I've spent some awesome quality time with my kids watching his videos. I'm a huge space geek, so this guy has become a hero to me. I'm sure that there have been thousands of young people across the globe inspired to literally reach for the stars because of him.

Bravo Zulu, CDR Hadfield.

Did anyone else geek out to his Twitter conversation with Shanter, Nimoy, Takei & Wheaton?

Critical AOA

I'd be more impressed if he did Elton John's "Rocket Man" on a baby grand while space walking.

I tried to get him to come visit our squadron while he was here, but I guess I don't have much pull with his scheduling, lol.
