Is it to late for ncsa's

Does anybody know if their is any ncsa's that don't require a wing review board. I want to go to one but is it to late?

The announcement of selectons is only a couple weeks away.  You can try but in all likelihood it is too late for summer, particularly the popular activities.

Any late applications must be approved by Squadron and Wing before given any further consideration.

Plan ahead for next year.

For starters, it says that:

1. You apply directly to the activity you want to attend.
2. Neither your unit nor Group has nothing at all to do in the selection process.
3. Only Wing boards have anything to d in the process. They can "green light" a few  of all applicants, not all. They can also approve or flag those who have persistent problems.

To apply for activities managed by CAP Cadet Programs you must be able to log into "e-Services" to access and complete the on-line Special Activities application. 
This means you must have a CAPID and a password. 

Do not wait until the last minute to establish a password and confirm that you can log into "e-Services".

Do not wait until the last minute to submit your application; do not even wait until the last weekend because if you need to make changes to your member record you need to contact the registrar at NHQ during business hours (M-F 730-430 Central Time).

You need Explorer 6.0 and Adobe 6.0 to complete the application.
Both are available as downloads from the e-Services web page. 

NHQ does not manage these activities:
Aviation Challenge, Space Camp, and EAA Air Academy. 
Follow the links for information about those programs (You will leave the CAP web domain). 

NESA uses a separate registration process.   
Please use their website to contact members of the NESA staff.


1. Locate the Special Activities Application: 
Go to E-Services and click the "Registration And Payment System" link on  the left hand side of the screen.  As you follow the instructions for entering your request, you will also get to
check (and correct if necessary) your address, contact information, and personal characteristics that National Headquarters (NHQ) has on file.

Applications are accepted for summer activities from
1 December - 15 January.

Applications are accepted for winter activities from
15 September - 15 October

The computer process takes member data and puts it in the forms where appropriate so it's important that your data is accurate.

The process will not work without this.
 
Preferences
Clearly indicate your preferences, in order, in the Preferences tab of the application.

When applying for IACE: list IACE last on  your preference list.

 
2. When you have completed, reviewed and printed (save as a PDF file on your computer) your application, it will automatically be transmitted to NHQ electronically.


3. UNDERSTANDING THE SLOTTING PROCESS

4. If you are selected for an activity the director will contact you with specific instructions. Sign the "Release Agreement" and have your parent or guardian (if applicable) sign the "Release by Parent or Guardian" block (page 4 of the application).
Mail the signed "Release Agreement/Release by Parent or Guardian" to the activity director. If you are slotted to attend more than one activity, you will need to send a copy of the release to each activity.  DO NOT SEND THEM TO NHQ.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

Computer Access:
If you do not have access to a computer, notify someone in your squadron to assist you as soon as possible

Late applications (after 15 January)
Late applications will be accepted if they have been approved by the Squadron and Wing, but will not be considered for the initial slotting.

However, on-time application will be given preference

 
Encampment Requirement:
You must have encampment credit when you apply for a special activity.


Age Requirement:
If an activity has an age requirement it must be met before the activity starts!


DETAILS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
In some cases activity dates must be set 10-12 months in advance.  It is not unusual for an activity date to change by one or two days.  Updates will be published continuously on this site. 
Activity Directors will also notify selectees of date changes.

I did but I already applied and never got a review board from the group. My question was, Will I be able to apply again?

Group doesn't do review boards for NCSA's wing does.  And it is possible that not all wings do them either.

Guess you will have to wait and see what shows up on your e-services account as far as slotting goes when it is posted in March.

New York Wing has group level review boards. Their recommendations and scores are forwarded to the wing. I also know that I won't be slotted at all because my application was never Wing approved because I didn't get a group review board.

Then this board is not the one you should have submitted your inquiries.

You should have asked your Cadet Programs Officer to contact your Group.

No response? Then ask your squadron commander to ask Group.

No response? Then contact your Group Cadet Programs Officer.

EDIT: and to clarify my GCPO isn't a bad person and neither is my Sq CC but sometimes they can be wrong.

There's nothing wrong with being open, unless you're foolish enough to make derogatory comments about your leadership.

Unless you're riding a fixer, backpedaling doesn't usually help much, but it's fun to watch.
