Hi, I am a senior master sergeant and I plan to make my Mitchel before June but I don't know whether RCLS will be in NJ or PA this year. I need to know ASAP as that will affect whether I put off my promotion and go to LDC or not.

1. Region Cadet Leadership School is not a requirement until you go for C/LtCol
2. By delaying your Mitchell Award, you are in biolation of the Cadet Oath in which you swore to advance yourself in the cadet program.

here's the solution so that you can go to LDC, whatever that is, please write the full name when speaking to people outside of the local area. When you take the pass the Mitchell test, ask your commander to enter the completion on the morning of the last day of the program. Then you could attend the course and be advanced to C/2LT at the graduation.

Go to whichever one you feel would suit your leadership development. LDC is more of a hands-on school, with lots of time drilling flights, while RCLS is a classroom-based school, with intense lessons and many speeches and presentations that you must give.

Since RCLS is in NJWG this year, you could theoretically go to both, as NJWG's schools are usually held in late July or early August.

As for your Mitchell, get it as soon as you can. You shouldn't wait on advancements, especially milestones.

Since RCLS is in NJWG this year, you could theoretically go to both, as NJWG's schools are usually held in late July or early August.

Source? Talked to the C/CLS DCC today and she said that PA had the RCLS this year, or as of right now.

Also, the past two years we've had our encampment in early to mid July but this year has no set date yet.
