I am up for renewal on a Gt rating, and I am told that prior to approval, I need to have evidence (ie cert) of completion.   My problem is that I took them 5.5 years ago, and no longer have them.  I have already checked my file, and they do not exist.  Is there a way to get proof of them now?

Edit: I tried searching the FEMA website to no avail.

The email FEMA sends you with the certs says that the email is the ONLY way to get them.

You are SOL.

exact wording:
QuotePlease retain this email for your records, as this is the only way to access your certificate. ***You will not receive a certificate in the mail.***

You can request a transcript of all IS courses taken from FEMA.

As was already mentioned you can request a transcript from the Emergency Management Institute (EMI)

Or, if you took the test on line you can submit a new answer sheet.  If you already passed the test it will regenerate your original certificate.

Or, you can just do them again. It's good information to refresh on occasionally.
