Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa County FL.  Anyone here from that area?  If so, can you drop me a PM?  Or better, the town of Milton, Florida?

Nice area over there.  Pensacola (Escambia county) is a nice place to live, if you can deal with all the navy jet jockies  ::)

I used to live in both Akaloosa (north....as north and south are very differant animals) Sanata Rosa; Navarre, but I woked the whole county for EMS.  General knowlege or looking to find someone to hang out with on one of those work related vacations? (I can give one or two recommendations of folks I still know in the area)

here of PM is ok.

What you need to know? I liked it there. If you are looking for an active CAP presence Emerald Coast Senior Squadron flies more hours than any other squadron in the country with daily flights over Eglin AFB. There is also a composite squadron in Pensacola and I believe a new flight in Milton started after I left by the old Group commander who is a stand up guy. As for our previous conversation about LE work I'm not sure if anyone has reserves there besides FHP but I can try and find out. I know Escambia SO has a helo.

There is also a big FWC presence out there, if you like near-slave labor at the worst state-level LEO paycheck in the nation...

Actually, I just saw that FWC has a few LEO pilot positions posted now.  Problem is, they have been posted for about a year because no one wants the job.  starting pay is low 20's.

I called on that about 6 months ago.  I was told that I could apply, but "cop to cop" they already had pilot trained observers who were probably shoe ins for the spots.  I get it, thats how my unit works.    However we dont hire outside for pilots.
