Interesting to note that the following volunteer staff positions remain unfilled at the National Level:

* Recruiting & Retention

* Marketing & Public Affairs

* Government Relations Officer

Other than the Marketing & Public Affairs position, I don't recall seeing any announcements for the other positions.

Where are you getting this info?  I'm not aware of an opening for the Marketing and Public Affairs position...  I don't think the current guy is planning on stepping down...

Also, I just looked on the NHQ website and the only position I see posted is the National CAC Liaison...

You sure your info is current?

I remember seeing the recruiting & retention officer position announcment a couple of weeks ago.

I think so.  Look at the July 2012 CAP & CAP-USAF Key Personnel Directory, page 12-2,  all 3 positions are listed as vacant.

Interesting...  It appears they have listings for both "National Marketing and Public Affairs Officer" AND "National Public Affairs Officer."

I wonder if this is an error somehow?  The National Public Affairs Officer, Maj. Solomon, does a heck of a job at both.  Why "dual" positions?

OK, since it was asked -- the national marketing and public affairs officer is a position formerly known as the national marketing advisor. The last person in that job was Col Rick Greenhut. The national public affairs advisor, now known as the national public affairs officer, reports to the national marketing and public affairs officer.

And now that all that is said, the new national marketing and public affairs officer is the most recent former Florida Wing public affairs director. Go look him up, if you want, but I could probably help you, especially since the cat's out of the bag. It's me. Maj Solomon and I have had a great working relationship, and I see that continuing on the national level.

Any ideas or suggestions you have, please feel free to PM me. I'm all ears.
