Due to recent unforeseen drop out of Senior Member staff, NBB is looking for help.

NBB needs 2 (two) positions filled. NBB has reached its limit in female sleeping area so they need to be filled with male seniors. Both positions need to be available through the whole activity from 16 July through 30 July 2012.

Position #1 - TAC officer. TAC officers are responsible for the supervision and guidance of a flight of 11 cadets. TAC officers need to have a CAP drivers license and at a minimum be GES (GTM or above helps). TAC officers will work side by side with the cadets marshalling all general aviation and warbird aviation aircraft around runway 9/27, working ES (ELT hunting, overdue, crowd control and crash site crowd control) along with several other duty positions throughout the air show. Hands down, one of the best jobs at National Blue Beret. Must be a Senior Member with level 1 completed and 21 years of age or above. Contact the Chief TAC officer for interest or information. The chief TAC is Capt. Quentin Laws. Phone number of 636-322-8012 and email at laws3rus@juno.com

Position #2 – Ground Branch Director. GBD will work with the I.C. and handle general GBD duties during the air show. Will work in shifts and receive time off to see the air show or expand on CAP ES training. Supervises flights assigned as ground teams and works with the ground team leader. The NBB ES section chief handles the roster and duty rotation around several GBD's. Last year approximately 250 individual sorties were conducted during the air show time to include overdue aircraft search, downed aircraft search and sounding ELT search. This is a very rewarding and busy job for a GBD. Contact the Assistant Activity Director Lt. Col. Jeff Morris at blueberet2012@gmail.com for information or interest.

NBB really appreciates any help it can get. Thank you!!

I'm surprised it made it that far into the wild to get a position filled ...
Pleased, but surprised. I'd have figured it would be filled by insiders and word of mouth.

Hey, LC, you have XX messages, 1 is new.

Several senior members had to drop out due to cost of airfare. Our applications this year were considerably less then normal. Probably due to the economy.

TAC SLOT HAS BEEN FILLED. Still looking for a Ground Branch Director!

I would love to go back and serve as GBD, but unfortunately it overlaps with RSC.  :'(

Yeah, but I've already paid my fee for RSC. Not to mention getting additional time clearance from the wife.  :D

Question... I don't have a drivers license. Cap or normal, and I'm a sm. Does that mean I can't go to nbb? Or I just can't be a tac. Also I'm not going in 2012 I'm going 2013

I wasn't going to ask, but you've brought it twice now...

As to NBB, there's plenty to do that doesn't involve driving.  Just apply.
