I have about 170hrs dual instruction given, have taught 3, 20hr Private Pilot ground school courses and have given plenty of intro flights, pre-solo checks, pre-check ride checks for other instructors who want me to go up with their student for 30 min and just give a second opinion on a maneuver their student might be having trouble with, etc etc.  I have yet to be "responsible" for a primary student of my own.  And then all of the sudden.........today I ended up with two brand new students who actually sought me out based on recommendations from other pilots  (that was flattering ;D).  One owns his own 172 and the other will be renting.  One is a teacher and the other is an IT Security guy for a large university.   :o

Wheeeeeeeeew......let the adventure begin!

Can I point out that after all this time - you are now officially gainfully employed in the aviation industry?

Ive been flying fixed wing and helicopters in my day job for a couple years. I just decided for some reason that I would take a stab at this instructing thing :). Ive had my CFI-A CFI-H for a while.  I just havnt really used it beyond what I described above and an occasional BFR

I have flown with him any number of times, given him F 91s, been one of his instructors at the High Altitude Training Course and tons of CD missions.

I'll fly with Rob anytime.
