What does NHQ do with submitted paperwork, after the information has been imputed into the system?

Opps, meant to be put in membership.

Much of it is returned to the submitting unit - F2, F2a, F24, and similar individual personnel items.

Guessing that F15, F12, F11, F20, and similar stuff is retained on file for however long is mandated in CAPR 10-2.

I was wondering because I have never seen it return.

Nothing? Paper F2, F2a, and F24 should always get returned with the approval stamp. Maybe the CC is rat holing them somewhere. Who gets the mail? We have a POB, and the Admin Off. has the key.

In the olden days anything sent on physical paper was generally returned to the unit's posted mailing address after it
had been processed.

I haven't sent anything on physical paper to NHQ in about 6 years, so there's nothing to send back.

In any of the units where I did personnel, or admin, I never saw returned paperwork. That's three different units in five years.

CAP is in a paperwork reduction program, and has been for quite a while. Almost very thing that goes to National can be done electronically. Fm12/15 remain at NHQ, unless they're faulty. F2 for other than Duty promotions should be returned, 2a rarely goes above Wing, if that far. In all cases National actions can be found in E-services which is updated as soon as the action is completed.

I understand that. What happens to it then?  Archives, shredder, back to unit?

If it is personnel actions...they send them back to the unit....usually.

+1 same here. Everything is online or an email attachment. Snail mail to NHQ?

I submit everything electronically through the Chain to NHQ.  Every once in a while, they must print it, stamp it and mail it back to me for the record.   When I receive a paper record, I scan it and file electronically and email a copy to the member.  It's NHQ who insist on spending the money on paper and postage.
