I just heard on the radio from a spokesperson for the Baja California Civil Air Patrol announcing they were prepared to help in the clean-up of the rcent Mexican earthquake.

Searching the web turned up nothing on this organization, either under that name or it's literal translation, Patrulla Aérea Civil

Baja California is a part of Mexico. It's the large peninsula south of the state of California (Alta California).

If it does exist, it has nothing to do with "our" CAP.

There are versions of "CAP" all over the world, a few even steal pay homage to our logos and mission statements, etc.
