Not sure if this is uniform or history BUT....

Going through the new 39-3 and was wondering if there was a historical archive of when all of the CAP ribbons and such were authorized/deauthorized.  If anyone knows if this exists, I think it would be fun to see.

There are a couple.

Maj. Lee Regan did a complete insignia catalog in 1985. It is occasionally available on eBay.

Col. Louisa Morse did a three volume "CHRONOLOGY OF CAP UNIFORMS AND INSIGNIA", covering 1941 to 1983. This one is much harder to find.

"Civil Air Patrol Uniform Insignia Since 1941, 4th Edition", by Lt. Col. Preston Perrenot, is available for $7 on Scribd.

Happy hunting.

Yeah, $7 for Scribd ... to download something that someone else uploaded ... that they essentially got for free.

Screw them. Liberate stuff, put it on public Google Docs links.

I've always found this sight interesting and informative.

Not exactly. He's the author, and also sells them in hard copy for the same price. The older editions appear to be free (at least 1st ed.).

+1. Exactly what I was looking for!  Thanks!

The CyBorg is destroyed

That is a good website...is it maintained by the Texan State Guard Air Wing?

I see ribbons for completion of ECI courses...did they give one out for the old ECI 13?  As dull and boring as that one was, completion should have gotten an MSA. :P

No. I think the site owner just uses their server space.

No, that was for ECI-7C (13's predecessor), and the other then-current ECI courses. This is '60s era stuff.
