On behalf of INWG Grp V, I will be directing an upcoming SLS course at GLR-IN-184 in Shelbyville, IN.  Members interested in coming to central Indiana to participate in SLS can PM me for more info on submitting F 17s, and for more info about location and logistics.  This can either be for students (Level II credit) or instructors (Level IV credit).  You must have completed Level I and be enrolled in at least one specialty track to be a student.

This course will be held Friday 17 FEB (7-10pm) and Saturday 18 FEB (8am-6pm).

Since Springfield, IL is the home of the Simpsons ( >:D ) you're about one state too far east . Our Shelbyville probably isn't as cool though :P.

Didn't the contest that the creators ran when the movie came out decide that Springfield, MA was the home of the Simpsons?

Our Shelbyville is cooler.  I have family in/near Shelbyville, IL.

Our last SLS in Richmond, IN near the OH border had someone from north or northside of Chi-town down for the course.  What, you don't want a four hour drive?

No, they ran a contest to see where the movie premiere would be and MA won.

The 4-hour driver was one of my guys....thanks for showing him a good time. Although, I did have to explain to him on the drive home about those GTM berets you all wear   ::)

"You all" was one guy, my Grp CC.  I won't go any further than that.

I'm glad he had a good time.  Anyone else needing it from your area is welcome to come join us.

"You all" was directed at your folks in INWG, not multiples at the event. He especially enjoyed the laid back manner that the event embodied....and the conversations with your group CC.  I have actually sent a few guys 'over the border' for these activities recently, and the 'differences' experienced makes for a better rounded troop, IMHO.

It's all good....

Yes and no.  Yes, he was at SLS and he was wearing his BDUs.  He was there for about an hour (maybe a little longer) and talked a bit about ES (which he's very fond of).  He was not an official instructor (AFAIK) but was there because the SLS was in his group.

BTW, I'm still accepting 17s for it.  Let me know if you need info.
