Non-issue IMHO.  However, I am perplexed that cap.gov redirects to www.gocivilairpatrol.com instead of a .org.  Are we selling something?   :o

You may have noticed in one of the replies above that cap.org has already been taken.
Kinda hard to use something that is not available...
I saw that.  However I wasn't thinking only of cap.org as a possibility.  Unfortunately I did some checking and many of the logical .org addresses are locked up.  Someone has already registered CivilAirPatrol.org and GoCivilAirPatrol.org.  Oh well.

Personally, I think we should be able to have our website be cap.aetc.af.mil...the British Air Training Corps uses www.raf.mod.uk/cadets.

How about the one we've already got?  www.cap.af.mil

Never understood the point of that one...

'cause before there was cap.gov and capnhq.gov ... there was www.cap.af.mil :)

Why did we move from .mil to .gov?  That's what I was getting at.

Same reason some wing's have moved from .gov to .somethingelse.

You can't just use that TLD and be happy, you have to put up with all the requirements that come down the line to be there. ... and some host providers don't want to deal with it At All, where it would be externally hosted.
