While surfing the internet --- My understanding is that Col George Ross III, who became Commander in July 2011, is no longer in that position and the Vice Commander, Col Paul Gloyd II is now the Commander CAP-USAF HQ.

I noted another website has some wild speculations about Col Ross.   The official website doesn't seem to show Col Gloyd as the Commander CAP-USAF (still has Ross' bio).  I can't find any press releases about the change

Anyone know what's going on at CAP-USAF ???

Yeah, if its the website I think it is, its about as accurate as those magazines you see in the supermarket checkout lines, you know the ones that say that Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are getting divorced because of the UFOs and such.. :)

The CAP-USAF Commander is Colonel Gloyd, according to the CAP Directory, dated Oct 2011,  which can be found in E-services

Yes UFOs are real. I've seen video of F-16's chasing one. But in reality UFOs are CAP Gipplands over restricted areas.

I've pushed the Red Button while crossing the streams. I live life on the edge.

Makes me think of a certain Da Yoopers track.. and the Nifty Red Button ...

The CyBorg is destroyed

Officers get relieved, move on, etc. for whatever reason.  I don't know what happened with Colonel Ross and don't have a need-to-know.

The only thing we in CAP need to know is that Colonel Gloyd is now CC, CAP-USAF.

Got to wonder how many CAP-USAF personnel lurk in the background on CAPTALK ???

Let's think positively for a moment. He might have gotten his star.

Uh....no.

22 years in the Air Force tells me that something "bad" happened.
If he got promoted (in rank or in position) or PCS'ed then they would have announced it.

I could be wrong....but that is what my NCO sense is telling me.

I don't know why Colonel Ross insn't the Commander of CAP-USAF anymore and neither does anyone else on this site. Let's not drag him and his reputation through the mud.
The original question posted was : Who the Commander was asked, answered.
