Free Wifi monitoring tool

Here is another nice tool I have come across.  It is very useful for setting up a mission network in the presence of an existing network or finding existing networks to use (with permission of the ower of course.)

Its called inSSIDer.

I love the channel view which helps you adjust the channel setting on your router to avoid interference.

I have an Android app, that while not this sophisticated, gives me channel graphs and shows which channels are in use, what the signal strength and such

I have the Wifi Analyzer app, as well.  Use it fairly rarely, mainly if I'm having connection issues to my home wifi, and check to see if I'm getting interference from the neighbors.
